o        Morning History Program: Ancient Chu Culture’s Role In Making China, The View From Newly Discovered Manuscripts at the Shanghai Museum (today’s Hubei and Hunan Provinces)

Wentworth Ave., Chinatown, $30 + cocktails.  Includes a small exhibit and demonstration of techniques by 3 Beijing Folk Artists in the delegation, consisting of Masters of dough figurine sculpture, kite art and craft, and snuff bottle painting (exquisite painting from inside the bottle).  This is the second consecutive year such Dinner Reception is being held for a Delegation of Beijing Artists.

·        Annual CAAGC Chinese New Year Gala, Sun. The USCPFA-Chicago Chapter has had a long and mutually beneficial friendship with the Chinese American Association of Greater Chicago, and USCPFA members should both continue our support of this worthwhile organization and enjoy the fellowship, dinner and entertainment the CAAGC opportunity offers.

·        USCPFA-Chicago Chapter Booth at Sunny Ridge Family Center Chinese New Year Celebration, Sun., Feb. 10, 12 Noon-4 pm, College of DuPage (largest adoption agency for infants from China in Chicagoland; placed over 1000 infants from China with Chicagoland families), typically over 1000 attendees each year.
